Jay Banyer

Jay Banyer is an experienced software developer, team leader and clean energy entrepreneur. He is the creator and co-founder of ChargeHQ, a popular electric vehicle (EV) smart charging product that was acquired by Amber Electric. Jay has worked in various roles in clean energy technology since 2017, at companies including AGL, UPowr and Amber. He is a self-professed “energy nerd”, and is just as happy bench-testing EV chargers as he is working on cloud architecture.

Before working in clean energy, Jay worked in high-frequency trading for 13 years, developing ultra-fast automated trading systems. He also spent two years working on radio telescope backends.

Jay is passionate about applying technology in the journey towards a low-carbon economy.
